Today was the hardest day of my life, I buried my Father.
He was a great man, not only my hero but America’s hero, a WWII, Vet father of eight.
Today I realized also I have the most wonderful friend, when I got up after the service and saw you standing there, I lost it, you were there to hold and comfort me and walking to the car even helped manage to get me to smile.
Thank you Sharon you have no idea how much it meant that you were there you helped make this horrible day better no words could express my gratitude.
I was honored you invited me, and so very glad to be there for you. You are an amazing person Kim, and I'm blessed to know you, now even better than before.
To really make you smile, I should've remarked that VL would've bragged about getting more than a 21 gun salute (without mentioning that they would've been aiming at the casket at the time, just to be sure).
I haven't yet lost a parent so I don't really know what that feels like, but I do know it's hard for far longer than most talk about. You call me if you need anything, even just a girls night out (or especially for a GNO!).
Love ya too!

"Now, more than ever, the illusions of division threaten our very existence. We all know the truth: more connects us than separates us. But in times of crisis the wise build bridges, while the foolish build barriers. We must find a way to look after one another as if we were one single tribe.” -King T'Challa, Black Panther
The truth is incontrovertible. Malice may attack it. ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is. ~Winston Churchill
