You've got an Android, right? I'm not sure where it is on those, but on my iPhone under Settings, I scroll down to my browser (Safari), open that, then "Clear History" or "Clear Cookies and Data" options will get you off the old cached version of the site. Clearing cookies means that you'll have to re-enter passwords for every site you've visited that remembers your passwords (not a practice that I recommend, btw).

As to the 2G question, based on the amount of browsing you do per month, I'd guess you will go over if you use your phone the entire time as a hot spot. Definitely if you try to watch any videos.

"Now, more than ever, the illusions of division threaten our very existence. We all know the truth: more connects us than separates us. But in times of crisis the wise build bridges, while the foolish build barriers. We must find a way to look after one another as if we were one single tribe.” -King T'Challa, Black Panther

The truth is incontrovertible. Malice may attack it. ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is. ~Winston Churchill

If you don't do video and nobody sends you any large e-mail attachments, 2GB should be plenty to get you through a few days. I use my phone for work (e-mail mainly) and I usually only hit about 500MB.

What kind of phone you got? Suggest you clear the cache and see if it still throws you fits.

Maybe this will help...

Amounts of Text

A kilobyte is 1,024 bytes, often rounded to 1,000 for simplicity; while a megabyte is 1,048,576 bytes, or around 1 million. It is estimated that a kilobyte can accommodate about one-half of a typewritten page. Therefore, one full page requires about 2 KB. The following chart illustrates the number of bytes in common terms such as kilobyte and megabyte and how much text each can store.

A Gigabyte (GB) is 1,073,741,824 bytes of data, approximately 500,000 pages or 1,000 thick books.

There's a nice table over on this website that runs down data sizes from Kilobytes to Yottabytes but I couldn't figure out how to import it --> http://www.wisegeek.org/how-much-text-is-in-a-kilobyte-or-megabyte.htm#didyouknowout

I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.

I don't recommend using your phone as a hot spot, sounds too kinky to me, and you could get shocked. :rofllol

How much is 2GB? A buttload of 1's and 0's 10 to the ninth power. Same as a Billion bytes, or what we borrow every 12 hours. 1000 Megabytes. A kilobyte cubed. Almost as much as the National Debt which is approaching 2x 10 to the 13th power.

Enough to store alot of HD pics of women in uniform or vice versa.

Any more questions?

No. Thanks for the memory. My first maint. school was a digital sound processor. One of my instructors was dumb as a rock so he liked to chant by twos and say it is digital and pretend he knew how the system worked.

I remember going to him and saying he might as well flunking me out and sending me to the fleet because I had no idea how the damn machine worked.

He talked me into sticking around to keep trying and it turned out I did not need to know how it worked just how to fix it. I like to think I turned into a damn good tech, MOTU thought so, but to this day do not ask me to explain a Fast Fourier(?)
Transform.

LOL LOL OMG synapses are firing. In a much later course I remember learning about a broadband processor (unit 31 for anyone who was there).
We were taught that we should not worry abut how the bits and bytes went around because the guys who invented it went immediately to the nut house and were not available

In a last random thought, I had a kid working for me named tony chaviz(?) He was a chicano from Chicago. He had operator training but no mait. training. He was a huge help. He translated my explanations as a cadillac with a thousand timing chains. It worked for him, worked for us.

Bob, all you really need to know to fix your current problem is a combination of understanding Manchester encoding and some analog to digital TCP/IP conversion issues. Well, that and a subscription through some commercial provider...
