I was in Wheat Ridge yesterday and this grubby looking guy comes up to me asking where the pot shops were. He said he had just driven 1800 miles to get to Colorado and couldn't find any pot. I was tempted to tell him to just go to the produce aisle at Wal-Mart, but told him instead to head to Denver. He looked upset, like he expected to find pot shops on every corner and the roads paved with Acapulco Gold.
I supported legalizing recreational MJ, but I think we are going to attract some wierd new residents and tourists this year.

ACTUALLY, the desperately diseased will be making the sojourn to our state, MJ has properties
that mitigate many symptoms of illnesses. In fact, I saw a piece on a little girl who was
suffering from side affects from the meds for her illness and EDIBLE MJ was the answer...her
family is NOW moving to Colorado because of our laws....I think we will be seeing alot MORE of
this phenomenon as time passes. JMO

That's not to say that more people wanting recreational won't be arriving here.
My point in bringing it to the FOREFRONT was this....my understanding....medical MJ has
specific parameters and a DOCTOR is required.....my understanding....the legalization of
RECREATIONAL MJ eliminates that requirement....thus, those with severe illnesses have ONE
LESS thing to deal with.....and their lives become LESS hassled.
I didn't know until this week that many states are quite restrictive about what medical issues are legal to use medical MJ for. New York state is one of the most restrictive. And IIRC Colorado ruled out allowing returning vets to use PTSD as a reason.

Sorry - I didn't get your point in the first post. Thanks for the clarification.
"Much Ado About Nothing is a comedic play by William Shakespeare thought to have been written in 1598 and 1599, as Shakespeare was approaching the middle of his career. The play was included in the First Folio, published in 1623. Much Ado About Nothing is generally considered one of Shakespeare's best comedies, because it combines elements of robust hilarity with more serious meditations on honor, shame, and court politics. Like As You Like It and Twelfth Night, Much Ado About Nothing, though interspersed with darker concerns, is a joyful comedy that ends with multiple marriages and no deaths."
