With my old digital camera I had no problem uploading them to Picasso and using the url to paste them to posts. For the last 2 or 3 years I have had a different camera and lost that ability.
Wanting to post pictures again I decided to get a fresh start and downloaded Picasso. My browser promptly went nuts with more pop ups than Carter has liver pills.
MalwareBites seems to have taken care of the problem (thanks Grady) by quarantining around a 100 nasties that mostly had mapsgalaxy, pricegong or astromenda in them.
I am wondering if this is normal for Pecasso, did I get redirected to a similar but malicious site? Something else?
Picasso was a very influential artist, and his paintings go for millions - I think that means he didn't suck.
Pacasa is an image storing website, and has a tool you can download. I haven't seen anything about popups other than some problems with update alerts and indexing popups. depending on how you spelled it while searching for a download might help to isolate what you actually ran.

Thanks. I had not considered that. It certainly is a possibility.
