Law enforcement agencies partner to target DUI drivers in Jeffco

Jefferson County, CO. – On Friday, August 29th the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, along with Colorado State Patrol and the Lakewood Police Department will be conducting a DUI checkpoint in south Jeffco. The chosen location was selected due to the high number of DUI arrests made in the general vicinity in recent months.
The checkpoint will begin at approximately 7 p.m. on August 29th and conclude at 1:30 a.m. on the 30th. The checkpoint is in conjunction with “Checkpoint Colorado.”
The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office and its law enforcement partners are committed to reducing the number of drunk drivers and alcohol-related accidents in Jefferson County, and encourages everyone to drive safely and responsibly.
