The 2014 Big Chili Cook-Off Firefighter Challenge

Contestants representing Elk Creek, Evergreen, Indian Hills, Inter-Canyon and Platte Canyon Fire Departments faced off to see who would earn the right to take the Big Chili Firefighter Challenge Trophy back to their department.

The competition was intense, determined firefighters from each department gave it their all; in the end Platte Canyon’s Firefighter Clint Saylor came out on top.

While Platte-Canyon took home the trophy and earned bragging rights for 2014, each of the contestants represented their departments with honor. They are all winners and while they may not have had the best time this year, I’m sure they’ll return next year ready to fight it out once again.

How and why did Elk Creek let Platte Canyon win? What happened to tackling him?

Congrats! Hope all had a lot of fun.
