5 things to do on Daylight Saving Time day
Blair Shiff, KUSA
October 28, 2014

As Daylight Saving Time ends this Sunday, there is a checklist that every homeowner, renter and business owner should go through to make sure they are ready for the winter months.

1. Change your clocks back one hour Saturday night before going to bed

2. Change batteries in fire alarms and carbon monoxide detectors

3. Replace your furnace filters

4. Check pipes under sinks to make sure they will get adequate heat and also make sure leaves are out of gutters, and trees are trimmed and not hanging over power lines

5. Review your insurance policy

Anything else that you do each year on Daylight Savings Time?

Nope, I don't think so! Cool, huh? B)

"Now, more than ever, the illusions of division threaten our very existence. We all know the truth: more connects us than separates us. But in times of crisis the wise build bridges, while the foolish build barriers. We must find a way to look after one another as if we were one single tribe.” -King T'Challa, Black Panther

The truth is incontrovertible. Malice may attack it. ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is. ~Winston Churchill

Don't forget to fall back tonight - reset all of your clocks by setting them back by one hour. Now is also a good time to swap out the batteries in your smoke and CO alarms. Reset the clocks and replace the batteries in your alarms, it's a smart thing to do.

I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.

"Any man who thinks he can be happy and prosperous by letting the Government take care of him; better take a closer look at the American Indian." - Henry Ford

Corruptissima re publica plurimae leges; When the Republic is at its most corrupt the laws are most numerous. - Publius Cornelius Tacitus
