JEFFERSON COUNTY, Colo. - A head-on crash on Highway 285 at Shaffers Crossing Friday has the Colorado Department of Transportation considering permanent concrete barriers.
The two-car crash at Shaffers Crossing, just west of Conifer, on Friday afternoon left one person injured, according to Colorado State Patrol.
The crash was in an area highlighted by 7NEWS in July 2013, after a side-swipe collision and again in November 2013 when CDOT made changes intended to make the road safer.
"Now, more than ever, the illusions of division threaten our very existence. We all know the truth: more connects us than separates us. But in times of crisis the wise build bridges, while the foolish build barriers. We must find a way to look after one another as if we were one single tribe.” -King T'Challa, Black Panther
The truth is incontrovertible. Malice may attack it. ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is. ~Winston Churchill
