RIP Norm Meyer Sr, A Conifer Icon

I just learned that Norm Meyer Sr passed away peacefully in his sleep on Friday. There will be no memorial in accordance with his wishes.

Edit to add: A Remembrance Book has been placed on the porch of the Little White Schoolhouse for anyone to stop by and share a story in, or just write their names. The book will be given to the Meyer Family.

The Conifer Historical Society hopes to have a free program in January to tell his life story and how he has impacted Conifer and Jefferson County.

Last flight:

"Now, more than ever, the illusions of division threaten our very existence. We all know the truth: more connects us than separates us. But in times of crisis the wise build bridges, while the foolish build barriers. We must find a way to look after one another as if we were one single tribe.” -King T'Challa, Black Panther

The truth is incontrovertible. Malice may attack it. ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is. ~Winston Churchill

Sad to see him go. Have been going past the Meyer Ranch for decades. RIP.

One of the few chamber meetings I attended was the one above where Norm received the award. He really didn't have much too say did he?
Sorry to hear of his passing. Peace to his family.
