Help Needed for Conifer Family Displaced by House Fire

Yesterday I received an email from a friend of mine who lives in Kings Valley near the home that caught fire on Dec 23rd . The family that was living there rented it and they have had to temporarily move out; they lost almost all of their personal items - furniture, toiletries, bedding, food, housewares, linens, etc. The neighborhood would like to take up a collection for them and deliver it New Year's Eve.

The family certainly could use some help. The husband is a mason and carpenter working for a general contractor in Pine and would love some work if you might need some done, or know of anyone who does. Please let me know and I'll pass it along, I have their phone number and can get in touch with them. Clothes are of immediate need and we are collecting them at my office in Conifer this week: 25997 Conifer Rd, upstairs and in the back opposite from Cabin Creek Smokehouse BBQ. She is size 10 pant/dress, 8 top. He is 32/30 pant and large shirt. I've also started a post in the 285 Corridor Angels Facebook Group if you'd like to communicate/keep tabs on what's going on there.

Thanks so much for your help and ideas. It is greatly appreciated!

My apologies for the delay in posting an update. The couple is currently staying with friends in Ken Caryl, but they need a new place to rent. If you know of anything that can hold 2 adults, a cat and a dog, please let me know and I will pass it along. Ideally, they would love to be back up in the Conifer area, and back in the home they had been in, but it will be a while before it's fixed up and habitable.

They are deeply grateful for all of the donations that they received and thank everyone for them. They are set on clothes, and until they find a place, kitchen ware, linens, etc. The only thing they didn't receive that they could still use was shoes for the lady. She is a size 8 so if you have any that size that you would like to donate, please drop them off at the Conifer Chamber office and I will get them to her. She is playing at Aspen Peak Cellars tomorrow if you'd like to go and support her there as well.

We have an amazing community and I am humbled at the support you've all provided, not just to this family, but to many others in need. If you'd like to get more involved, there's a great Facebook group to join called the 285 Corridor Angels .

Here was the pile of donations before they came and got them.
