EVERGREEN- Firefighting can be especially difficult in these freezing temperatures.

Tack on layers and layers of snow and it makes a firefighter's job even more challenging. On Saturday, the Evergreen Fire Department spent hours training in a home that will be demolished in a few days.

A neighbor in an Evergreen neighborhood is demolishing their home and offered it to the fire department to use for training purposes.

"This is really ideal for us. These floors are real floors, this railing is a real railing. It really helps us train," Stacee Martin, spokesperson with the Evergreen Fire Department, said.
