Elk Creek Fire Department has received reports that a person claiming to represent the fire department has contacted residents by phone. The caller is asking for donations and collecting credit card information.
THE ELK CREEK FIRE DEPARTMENT DOES NOT SOLICIT DONATIONS OVER THE PHONE AND WOULD NEVER ASK FOR YOUR CREDIT CARD INFORMATION.
If you receive a call from someone claiming to represent Elk Creek Fire Department, asking for a donation, please immediately report the call to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office at 303-277-0211.
