Yes, it is now a different day than the HUNDO. I think after all the grief they got last year because of the Rhubarb Festival and Bailey Day falling on the same day (they always did it Father's Day weekend, which the HUNDO is sticking with, and the Rhubarb Festival is always the 2nd Saturday and those finally coincided as will happen every once in a while) they decided to avoid having any future issues. I think it's a shame that they and the HUNDO are split up now as those events went well together, but they are looking to make the best of it, it seems. They are moving the Friday night dinner to Saturday night, they are getting a bigger stage so they can do music all day and later into the night after they noticed that people liked to hang around and enjoy the music and dancing after the vendors went home for the day, and they are talking with the fire department and sheriff's department to see if they can bring back the old Bailey Day Parade on Hwy 285 (there isn't room on Main St with all the vendors so they'd be closing the highway for a bit to do the parade).

It's the Olde West theme again this year too. I hope they bring back the jail! B)

"Now, more than ever, the illusions of division threaten our very existence. We all know the truth: more connects us than separates us. But in times of crisis the wise build bridges, while the foolish build barriers. We must find a way to look after one another as if we were one single tribe.” -King T'Challa, Black Panther

The truth is incontrovertible. Malice may attack it. ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is. ~Winston Churchill
