I just discovered that Jack Rowland, former President of the Peaceworks Board of Directors and long-time supporter of their mission, has died in an accident at his home last night. Our community has lost a huge advocate for women and families.
My deepest condolences to his loved ones.
*edited to correct that he is the former president of Peaceworks. His term ended this past January. Thank you to Emily Clingman for the updated information.

But in times of crisis the wise build bridges, while the foolish build barriers. We must find a way to look after one another as if we were one single tribe.” -King T'Challa, Black Panther

PeaceWorks bids a loving farewell to our dear friend and immediate past president, Jack Rowland, who died last night unexpectedly. We will miss his enormous heart, his passionate advocacy for victims and for all children, his kindness, and his guidance. Jack was a former Conifer Rotarian, church deacon at Platte Canyon Community Church, board member if Id-Ra-Ha-Je, volunteer reader to children at Deer Creek Elementary School, and 3-year member of the PeaceWorks board. Through all of these things and many more, with his wonderful wife, Donna, Jack made a lasting difference in our mountain community. We will miss him deeply, and we send great much love to Donna and their family.
