Elk Creek Firefighters raise $4,875 for Family of Fallen Sheriffs Deputy Sean Renfro
Elk Creek earmarks proceeds from Annual Car Wash to Renfro Family through 2017
Conifer, Colo. August 12, 2015
Members of the Elk Creek Fire Department held the Annual Elk Creek Car Wash on Saturday, August 8, 2015 at Conifer Town Center, 27152 Main Street, Conifer, Colo. The car wash was held in conjunction with the August Art Festival sponsored by A Brogata.
The event raised $4,875, which has been donated to the Family of Fallen Sheriffs Deputy Sean Renfro. Deputy Renfro was killed January 3, 2015, in a tragic accident on U.S. Highway 285 near Windy Point. He is survived by his wife and four children.
Elk Creek Fire Department Membership voted unanimously to donate all proceeds from the Annual Car Wash to the Renfro Family for the years 2015, 2016 and 2017.
Elk Creek Firefighters would like to thank Ms. Penny Gaudi owner of A Brogata Cultural Gifts Store for supporting this effort, and thanks to Mr. Bill Thompson of Spas Etc. & Mountain Home Entertainment for hosting the car wash in his parking lot.
