A reminder to make sure your chimneys are cleaned and maintained. A chimney caught fire last night in a home on Kuehster Rd. Luckily the homeowner was able to put it out while Inter-Canyon Fire was still responding (the homeowner wisely called 911 first in case he was unable to handle it knowing it takes a while for the volunteers to reach the station and then the scene).

With it being Christmas as well, it's a good reminder as well to keep your Christmas trees well-watered. Dry trees can catch fire with hot lights on them.
