FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: March 31, 2016
Park County Sheriff’s Office
Your Community Supports You

Bailey, CO (March 31, 2016) – PSCO Benefit. In light of recent police shooting Bailey, CO, the community is stepping up to raise funds for the Park Country Sheriff’s Office.

On April 30, 2016, from 1:00-8:00 pm, at Tomahawk Ranch in Bailey, CO (2113 Cty. Hwy. 43) there will be a fundraiser to support the Sheriff’s Office to assist with budgetary gaps the Office has struggled with for many years, and especially not during this critical time.

All proceeds will be used to fund a training budget, and also help with personal safety equipment for officers, which often needs to be replaced. It is well known that ongoing training is critical for all First Responder agencies across the country, and our local Sheriff’s Office is one of many.

Something our community can do is offer support in this troubled time. To assist with this, some local bands are generously donating their talent and time to bring a musical event to the community, to bring people together, and raise funds for the Sheriff’s Office.

This is a very positive event with many volunteers generously stepping in to help. We welcome the Bailey community, 285 Corridor folks, and everyone who supports this effort to join us on April 30.

Highlights: Live music all day, silent auction, food and beverages. Fun neighbors!

Small silent action items can be dropped off at Ascent Accounting, 480 Sioux Trail, Pine CO 80470, on Monday through Friday from 10:00am to 5:00 pm.

Call or email either Ellen or Jeanne for Sponsorship information, or with any requests.

"Now, more than ever, the illusions of division threaten our very existence. We all know the truth: more connects us than separates us. But in times of crisis the wise build bridges, while the foolish build barriers. We must find a way to look after one another as if we were one single tribe.” -King T'Challa, Black Panther

From Park County Benefit :
We overlooked mentioning one small point: This is an INDOOR event! If you've looked ahead to the weekend weather forecast, this is important : )

For people with questions about how the proceeds will be used, these dollars go toward the stated purpose of making a significant difference for the Sheriff’s Office to enhance their training budget and purchase additional personal protective equipment.

This is not to cover any severance payments to personnel no longer with the agency - that's covered by insurance.

Advance tickets can be purchased from ParkCo Sheriff's Office, Rustic Station, Luna's Mandala, Angela Bassano, and Carrie Marsh Insurance.
