Park County Sheriff’s Office, Fairplay Dispatch Center, the Park County Office of Emergency Management and Platte Canyon Fire Protection District are running the 2nd Park County Wildfire Preparation Drill on April 30th, 2016. The drill will take place this year in the Deer Creek Valley Ranchos subdivision and will involve a simulated evacuation of homes under wildfire threat. All district residents are highly encouraged to enrolled their phone numbers in the county’s emergency alert system, linked below. This free and easy enrollment allows a homeowner to be notified for evacuations.

(Cancelled) Wildfire Evacuation Drill
Park County Wildfire Evacuation Drill Update:
This drill has been cancelled until further notice due to inclement weather. We will post another notice if/when the drill is rescheduled.
Platte Canyon Fire District, along with the Park County Sheriff’s Office, will be conducting a wildfire evacuation drill on Saturday April 30th starting at 10am for the residents in section 3 of the Deer Creek Valley Ranchos.
