This is the gentleman for whom the emergency alert notification was sent yesterday.
"WALTER IS STILL MISSING PLEASE SHARE AND KEEP YOUR EYES OPEN. THE FAMILY IS WORRIED SICK!!!! Walter Ryan has been missing since yesterday. His last known location is when he left his car at the church near Loaf n Jug at Hwy 285 and CR43 near the top of Crow Hill. He left his wallet and keys in the car. He has his cat and a gun with him. His family fears he is a danger to himself.
PLEASE if you have any info or see Walter, contact Park County Sheriff's Office ASAP"

Several search parties went out today to search for him and had no luck. If you are camping or just anywhere in the Bailey area near Crow Hill please keep an eye out for him.

Press Release - Missing Person
Walter Ryan

At 9:25am on Friday July 8, Walter Ryan age 72 left his residence in Burland Ranchettes in Bailey, Colorado and drove to the top of Crow Hill. Walter then walked away from the vehicle in an unknown direction, possibly in possession of a .357 handgun and a cat.

Walter is a white male, 5' 11" and 180 pounds; he has grey hair and blue eyes. Walter has Alzheimer's and does not have his wallet or his cell phone with him.

Indeed HappyCamper. We are sad to report that his body was found near Crow Hill. We do not know if his cat was found with him or not. Our deepest condolences to his loved ones for their loss.

Edit to update: one of his family members posted on our Facebook page that his kitty was found with him. :(

*Immediate Release*

On July 11, 2016, at 8:12pm, the body of Walter Ryan was located on private land near the top of Crow Hill. The Park County Sheriffs Office as well as the Park County Coroner's Office are investigating the scene. At this time there is no evidence of foul play.

The Park County Sheriffs Office would like to thank the Deputies, Search and Rescue members, numerous volunteers and family members who helped search for Mr. Ryan.

The Park County Sheriffs Office would also like to pass along our condolences to the Ryan family during this difficult time.
