On Friday, September 30, an attempted abduction was reported in the 5300 block of Sheridan in Jefferson County. A 14-year-old girl reported a man followed her in a silver SUV as she walked to her school bus stop on her way to school.
In the 5300 block of Sheridan, he stopped his vehicle, got out and told her to get into his vehicle. When she did not, he tried to push her inside. She ran and the school bus driver reported the incident.
This is a composite sketch of the man, who is described as Hispanic, 5'3', with glasses and medium length dark hair, kind of spiky on top and tousled. He was wearing a gray short-sleeved T-shirt and gray jeans. He was driving a mid-size silver SUV, possibly a Honda or Chevy. The vehicle was muddy and did not have license plates.
