I realize this isn't really big news around here but I wanted our neighbors to know that we had a bear come through our property last night in Burland on 72 near Sleepy Hollow. Just wanted to say "be bear aware" as usual or more than usual. This is the first time we have seen a bear on our property in 8 years and we have only seen one on only one other occasion nearby.
We used to have a big cinnamon mama bear who would check our trash cans once a week ranging around her territory. Never got anything, but she persisted.
