The aspen leaves are a beautiful yellow against the green of the pines and spruces. The snow is softly falling.......what? Yep, the snow is falling. That means a great day to sit by the fire with a cup of tea, a cozy throw and your crochet or knitting needles.
In October, besides our regular classes like Beginning Knitting, Beginning Crochet and Beyond the Basics, we have an Afghan class, Fisherman Scarf, Felted Clogs which make great Christmas gifts, Basic Socks and Basic Mittens.
We also have some scheduled activities. The Afghan KAL is Wednesday, Oct 18 from 10:30 to noon, Christmas club is Thursday, Oct 26 from 5:30-7 pm and Spin Night is Monday, Oct 30 from 6:00- 8 pm.
October is Domestic Violence Awareness month and we have decided to sponsor the Mountain Peace shelter this year. On Tuesday, Oct 24 from 10:00-Noon we will discuss the plan of what we want to do for them. So, bring your ideas and your needles and yarn to start a project!
There are still a couple of seats left for the Yarn Tasting. It is Wednesday, Oct 18 from 5:30-7:30. You will receive 5 mini skeins of new yarn we are bringing in from Classic Elite. We will play yarn bingo and just have fun. Call the shop or come by and sign up.
Hope everyone has a wonderful month. Happy fall and hope to see you soon!
