Annette is a friend of mine who is not only a wonderful, generous, bad-a**, hard-working lady who serves as a volunteer on the Board of Directors for the Conifer Area Chamber of Commerce and DriveSmart, but she also runs her own nonprofit, Taproot Guru, and works as the marketing coordinator for Cornerstone Auto Glass. She does so much for our community behind the scenes, any donations to help with her medical expenses, and healing thoughts and prayers for her swift and full recovery, are greatly appreciated. Hello Friends,

On Friday August 17th, Annette fell from our second-story deck onto concrete and was flight-for-lifed to St Anthony's hospital. She has a frontal lobe and posterior brain contusion with severe bleeding, multiple facial fractures, strained cervical ligaments and transverse compression breaks in her L2 an L4 vertebrae.

She is currently under 24-hour watch in the Intensive Care Unit. At this time, the doctors are unsure how long she will need to remain in ICU. If all goes well, she will be moved to a rehabilitation facility. Her time spent in ICU and rehab will be determined by her progress and recovery speed.

Unfortunately, Annette does not have medical insurance. We truly appreciate any financial support you can offer in this extremely difficult time. All funds will go toward her medical expenses.

You are all such a beautiful part of Annette's life and she is beyond lucky to know such amazing people.

An update from Theryn yesterday:

Hello Everyone, Annette is still in the Progressive Care Unit. We are hoping that she is well enough to move to rehab in a week.

Good news! Annette's daughter posted this 30 minutes ago:

Hello Everyone, Annette is still in the rehab center at St. Anthony's. She just had her feeding tube removed.

Annette was able to walk a few days ago about 100 ft unassisted by a walker (she still had her feeding tube in) so this is great progress!

Her GoFundMe is now at 6,500 of the $65,000 they estimated they would need. Please keep those donations coming if you can, they are deeply appreciated!

Our friend, and all around COMMUNITY ANGEL, Annette Aldridge, was hurt and had to be taken by Flight For Life to the hospital and had a lengthy ICU stay. All funds raised will go to paying her medical bills.
