All,

This case has started its third referral for this case. You will probably notice that the name has changed from Conifer Commons to Conifer Center. There was a previous Official Development Plan with that name so the applicants were asked to change the name, but the case is the same.

You can find the documents here:
Jefferson County Colorado (jeffco.us)

All,

The applicants have provided Planning and Zoning a draft copy of an agreement between them and Elk Creek Fire. Jefferson County is not a party to this agreement, but because it was provided to us by the applicant, I am sharing it here. Again, Jefferson County is not involved with any potential agreement between the applicant and Elk Creek Fire. You can view the document here:

The Elk Creek Fire Protection District Board of Directors are holding a Special Meeting tonight at 6:00pm in order to discuss the agreement with the Conifer Center developer.

Edit to correct: our apologies, we were informed that the Executive Board Session is, per legal requirements, NOT open to the public. The meeting opens to the public, the board then meets in private executive session, the meeting returns to public session where the Board will summarize any decisions taken [if any] as a result of receiving legal advice.

From Jeffco Planning & Zoning:

All,

Hearing dates have been scheduled for this case. The hearing before the Planning Commission will occur starting at 6:15 on Wednesday, April 28th, and the Board of County Commissioners hearing is scheduled for Tuesday, May 25th starting at 8 am. Hearings are still happening in a virtual setting using Webex, and I will follow up with another email when the weblinks are created, typically a week before each hearing. Please let me know if you plan to testify at these hearings so we can try to be as efficient as possible with everyone’s time, and please get any additional comments to me at least a week prior to each hearing so I can be sure to include them in the case file. Additional comments received less than a week before each hearing will be sent to each Commission, but we cannot guarantee that they will have the time to read them if received less than a week before each hearing.

Each citizen is allotted 3 minutes to speak at the hearings, and one representative of a registered umbrella group will have 10 minutes to speak. The Planning Commission and Board of County Commissioners do not allow sharing or combining of time to speak. If you have a presentation you wish to share as part of your testimony, please send that to me at least 24 hours in advance so we can be prepared.

I know that the virtual hearing process may not be ideal for some citizens, but the direction we have right now is to keep these hearings virtual and to keep processes moving. I recommend getting familiar with the Webex platform and contacting their customer support if you have issues using it.

Documents related to this case can be found here, although it can take up to two hours for them to appear on the website:

Please let me know if you have any questions.
