Got a call early this morning from someone claiming to be from Dish, they were not.
Dish will never call you and ask for your account number, your name and how much you pay per month.
The scammers are trying to get into your Dish account through the numbers on your receiver.
I hung and reported it to Dish
THANKS for the heads up...scammers are using the same method with many other companies.
many moons ago I worked for AT&T, our standard reply for this info request was...I'll call you back
what is your phone number and name? THEN we would call HQ or division to report suspicious activity.
