Incredibly disappointed to have to share this :( :( :(
The volunteers at the Conifer Chamber of Commerce are beginning to setup for this weekend’s Elevation Celebration, a free event for the community. Today, a donation of 18 sheets of plywood was dropped off to be used to build a stage. Some time after delivery, someone drove up in a trailer and proceeded to load up all 18 sheets and take off. A police report has been filed with the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office for the theft and Aspen Park Wine & Spirits is reviewing their camera footage to see if they captured the theft on tape.

The Chamber volunteers had to call Moore Lumber to purchase sheets to replace that which was stolen, get it delivered last minute (THANK YOU MOORE LUMBER!!), and are now out in the rain trying to finish setting up for the day.

If you know who did this, please call the Sheriff’s Office and report it. The Chamber is a nonprofit organization putting on a free event for the community - shame on whomever thinks it’s okay to do something like this.

"Now, more than ever, the illusions of division threaten our very existence. We all know the truth: more connects us than separates us. But in times of crisis the wise build bridges, while the foolish build barriers. We must find a way to look after one another as if we were one single tribe.” -King T'Challa, Black Panther

The truth is incontrovertible. Malice may attack it. ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is. ~Winston Churchill
