I just moved to Conifer & I’m up on Shadow Mountain. There is a helicopter that has been circling my house for 20 minutes. Any ideas? I called Jefferson County & they don’t have any in the area.
Hi Kmontal, welcome to My Mountain Town! Do you know if it's a military helicopter by chance? Being that Conifer isn't far from the Air Force Academy or Buckley Air Force Base in Aurora, it's not unusual to see military aircraft in the mountains. The other possibility is Flight For Life - they're orange in color.

Thanks for the info ScienceChic! It's definitely good to know for the future! Someone from Jefferson County called me back and said it was for pipeline inspections? It freaked me out a bit as it was literally circling my house! Now I'll be able to at least identify the orange or military.
