VERY unexpected visitor

MERRIEST OF HOLIDAY MEMORIES. A bald eagle visitation for the past 4 days..1 block away, claiming a big oak tree as "home".
talked to a neighbor, who has lived in this immediate area for 15 years, asked if he had ever seen one in this area ....nope. There is no nest building, so guess he is just checking things out.... the hay pasture probably looks appealing for varmints,

Congrats. See them on the Tarryall often. Both Bald and Golden Eagles.

UPDATE.....back story to a BALD EAGLE....was still in Bailey,considering the big move Montrose.
in 2015. Went to Costco on WADS. and 70,coming home, saw bald eagle in flight. Guess
LAKESIDE was where he was coming from......thought ''cool''. Tucked thought away and forgot
about it. Couple weeks later,the Evergreen local rag had a full page picture of an eagle...cool.

We traveled over Monarch Pass to Montrose late Feb (weather window was good) and looked
at R.E......sign contract for house on Feb.28th....while reviewing contract,noticed the land/house
was titled EAGLE RANCH LLC.

NOW here is the really cool part...5 years later,to the day, we bought the vacant parcel next to
our house......the BALD EAGLE had re appeared as an omen of things to come....

Near as I could tell his head was white, NOT ORANGE.......
