From our brothers and sisters are West Metro Fire Rescue
With heavy hearts, the men and women of West Metro Fire Rescue announce the Line of Duty Death of Firefighter/Paramedic Dan Moran. Dan passed away last night in the company of his family.
Dan was hired as a firefighter with West Metro in 2000, serving 18 years. He retired in 2018, due to complications from job-related cancer. During his time with us, he touched many lives and our community is better for Dan's service.
At this time our thoughts and prayers are with the Moran family. Survivors include his wife Jenn and two daughters, Taylor and Madyson.
West Metro Fire badges will be shrouded and all West Metro facilities shall fly flags at half-staff. Details on Dan's memorial services are pending.
