Wildland Fire off 126 and Ouray Rd Yesterday

Yesterday Elk Creek responded to a wildland fire off 126 and Ouray Rd. at 12:45. The fire was caused by a tree that fell onto a power line. The fire was less than .5 acre and controlled at 5pm. Elk Creek Module 459, Tender 461, Medic 481 and Chief 401 responded.

Critical fire danger exists today and tomorrow, prompting a Red Flag Warning. The possibility of severe thunderstorms with lightning means keeping an eye out for smoke plumes and flames. Please call Jeffcom 911 if you spot anything we should investigate.
