One of the top complaints we hear most about from our community these days are reckless drivers. That’s one of the reasons you’ve been seeing more information about our traffic enforcement efforts.

Tomorrow you’ll find us reminding drivers about the speed limits on Highway 285, which has been identified as a high crash roadway. CDOT has recognized the need for additional enforcement along this road and has provided JCSO with grant funding to support our enforcement efforts.

We don’t do this for the revenue, as the majority goes to the state and the rest to the county’s general fund.

We do this to help keep the public safe as speeding is one of the top causes of crashes in Colorado.
