"if you live in the mountains, you are lucky enough".

Some have NEVER seen an inky black sky, with "diamonds" glittering.
Some have NEVER caught the essence of a fresh pine bough, bending in the breeze, nor the whispering of the wind as it makes it's way thru trees.
Some have NEVER gazed upon a doe and her fawn finding respite in a meadow.
Some have NEVER seen a huge herd of elk making their way thru the valley.
Some have NEVER watched a juvenile bobcat bewildered because he could hear the rabbit under the deck, but could not see it...dinner is NOT
being served.

THESE are the treasures that are missing...INSTEAD small community(getting larger tho) lucky to have secured 1/2 acre of earth. GREAT VIEWS OF THE SAN JUANS ( for now)

Every day chores are not ALL DAY efforts....

One of my favorite musicians, Warren Zevon, dying of cancer, said something that still lives with me over a decade later. Cherish every sandwich. Enjoy that hot water for your shower in the morning. Be thankful for indoor plumbing on that brisk Winter morning.
Appreciate the rays warming your face. Savor the first sip of coffee.
Happy Thanksgiving!

"Now, more than ever, the illusions of division threaten our very existence. We all know the truth: more connects us than separates us. But in times of crisis the wise build bridges, while the foolish build barriers. We must find a way to look after one another as if we were one single tribe.” -King T'Challa, Black Panther

The truth is incontrovertible. Malice may attack it. ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is. ~Winston Churchill
