TODAY is the longest day of the year...:atlas: THAT means after tomorrow the daylight will start to wane. In Alaska,THIS DAY is celebrated to the max
"Midnite Sun Run",outdoors offering abound. The saying in the "last frontier" is....tomorrow is the FIRST DAY of winter....because at that latitude,longitude
the days shorten by minutes,not seconds and FALL comes on fast,because those minutes become hours in a blink of an eye....activities start to get
serious and prepping for the l-o-n-g darkness is on all's agenda.

Crested Butte hosts a 24 hour bike race on the longest day of the year. Most of the bikes are festively lit up and even non racers take their lit up bikes around the town all night long. Happy Summer Solstice!
