School Delays November 29, 2022

Dear Jeffco Public Schools Families & Staff,

Mountain schools will be on a two hour delay today, Tuesday, November 29, due to poor road conditions. Extra time will be needed to start buses in the mountain areas.

All other Jeffco Public Schools buildings and facilities will be open and on a regular schedule. Buses on all routes may run later than their scheduled pick up times due to slower navigation of snowy and icy road conditions, especially on side streets. Please ensure students are dressed for the extremely cold weather while waiting at bus stops.

As a reminder, mountain schools in the Conifer/Evergreen articulations areas include:

Bergen Meadow Primary School

Bergen Valley Intermediate School

Conifer High School

Elk Creek Elementary School

Evergreen High School

Evergreen Middle School

Marshdale Elementary School

Parmalee Elementary School

West Jefferson Elementary

West Jefferson Middle School

Due to the mountain school closures, some bus routes will be affected. Please find your own transportation to school or students can take an excused absence. Bus routes affected include:

LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN
C-1 Bell MS, Golden HS, Ralston ES

GENESEE
C-3 Bell MS, Golden HS, Ralston ES
C-4 Bell MS, Golden HS, Ralston ES

NORTH AREA

Bus routes for Fletcher Miller & Warren Tech mountain route buses will not run.

If Evergreen Area closes, Bus S-42 will not run, impacting Red Rocks ES, Carmody MS, and Bear Creek HS.

If Ralston ES closes, Buses C-1, C-3. & C-4 will not run, impacting Bell MS and Golden HS.

If Coal Creek K-8 closes, C-5, C-6, N-19, N-47, N-48, & N-49 will not run, impacting Mitchell ES, Bell MS, Golden HS, and Ralston Valley HS and the Blue Mountain area bus, N-19 & N-53, will not run, impacting Three Creeks K-8, and Ralston Valley HS.

Please call these terminals if you have questions about your student’s bus route.
After-school activities including athletics, events, and childcare programs will run as scheduled, unless you are informed otherwise by the school or organization planning the event. Please check your school's social media and website for updates throughout the day.

Our schools are flexible with late arrivals and will always excuse a student absence when called in by a parent or guardian.
