The JCSO is warning hikers in the Evergreen/Conifer areas of an at-large sexual predator. The unidentified male suspect is targeting female hikers in the Conifer and Evergreen areas. Deputies have taken several reports to date, where a male suspect confronted lone female hikers along trails in Flying J Ranch Park and one incident at Alderfer Three Sisters Park. The first report involving this suspect occurred on April 3rd, where a naked suspect approached a female hiker and touched her buttocks. The suspect fled the area but was not located by law enforcement. On June 13th, a naked suspect confronted a female victim and began masturbating. Each time, the suspect’s behavior has become more aggressive, contacting three different women in one day on July 18th, in which the suspect fondled two victims, masturbated, and engaged in sexual conversation. On July 24th, the suspect confronted a female hiker while masturbating, and then grabbed the victim and tried to rip off her clothing.
The suspect is described as a white male, 20-30 years old, fit/athletic build with dark colored hair. He has carried a dark-colored backpack in some cases. In each incident, the suspect has run off into the woods, avoiding capture.
The sheriff’s office is seeking input from the public to help identify the suspect, as well as identify other potential victims. Please call 303-271-0211 to report any additional information.

Jefferson County, CO. – Jefferson County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a high-profile sexual predator after dark on August 8th, after he exposed himself to two separate, lone female hikers at Stapleton Park, near the Beaver Brook Trail. Deputies were dispatched to 27500 Stapleton Dr. at 6:15 p.m., after Jeffcom received a 911 call from a female hiker who encountered the suspect along the trail. The suspect, wearing a grey t-shirt and green sweatpants, approached the hiker, exposed himself to her and began masturbating. The victim ran from the suspect and reported the incident. A couple of minutes later, the suspect confronted another lone female hiker and exposed himself. The suspect also attempted to grab one of the two victims before they fled.
Deputies and park rangers saturated the area, and after an intense 2½ hour search, were able to locate an adult male hiding in the woods. A short foot chase ensued, and the suspect was taken into custody. The suspect was wearing the same clothing as described by both victims. The suspect has been identified as Glenn Braden, (DOB 07/25/03), a resident of Evergreen. The suspect was taken to the Sheriff’s Office for further investigation and has since been booked into the Jeffco jail for 3 counts of unlawful sexual contact and 5 counts of indecent exposure. The suspect’s mugshot is not being released, pending photo lineups with multiple victims associated with this case.
Investigators believe that the same suspect is responsible for a series of similar sexual encounters, targeting lone female hikers, beginning on April 3rd at Flying J Ranch Park in Conifer. Over the next few weeks, the alleged suspect struck again on June 13th at Three Sisters/Alderfer Park, and on July 11,18 (x3) and 24 at Flying J Ranch Park.
The suspect was identified as Glenn Thompson Braden, 20, of Evergreen, the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office (JCSO) reported. He was arrested after dark on Tuesday after he exposed himself to two separate women who were hiking alone at Stapleton Park near the Beaver Brook Trail, JCSO said.
The JCSO said it believes Braden is responsible for the other sexual encounters at Flying J Ranch Park in Conifer and Alderfer/Three Sisters Park.
He is due in court next at 10 a.m. Thursday.
The spokesperson confirmed incidents reported at Maxwell Falls and Elk Meadow Park, both in Evergreen, were unrelated to the sexual assault cases.
