As many head into the Memorial Day weekend to travel, gather with family, and spend time outdoors, Elk Creek Fire would also like to pause and honor the men and women who gave their lives in service to our country.
While enjoying the long weekend, we encourage everyone to do so safely:
Drive carefully and never impaired.
Use caution with campfires, grills, and outdoor equipment.
Stay aware of current wildfire conditions and local restrictions.
Slow down, stay alert, and give yourself extra time on mountain roads.
We hope everyone has a safe and meaningful Memorial Day!
