Looking for a quiet place for a night or two for my dogs last few nights

Looking for a quiet place to stay for a night or two with my service dog before his scheduled euthanasia next week. Tonight, tomorrow or this weekend?

I am disabled, and he has been my service animal and constant companion. He has degenerative myelopathy, and I'd love to spend some peaceful time with him somewhere near water where he can still enjoy swimming before it's time to say goodbye.

I'm willing to pay for a reasonably priced cabin, guest house, or other private space. He is gentle, well-behaved, and does not have bladder or bowel control issues.

He loves up top in the mesa. We use to live in park county, he hasn’t really liked being down the hill.

This is a difficult time, and I'm simply hoping to give him a few special days doing something he loves. If you have a place available or know of somewhere that might work, please send me a message.

Thank you for reading. Hug your pets while you still can. Time is precious and you can’t get it back. See less

Thank you.

Wasn’t sure where to post this exactly.

Hello AboveTheClouds. I'm so, so sorry about your dog, he looks like a sweetie.

I don't know if they have good spots to swim, but Glen-Isle Resort and Bailey Lodge are right along the river in Bailey. I have friends who take their dogs down to Pine Valley Ranch Park, I'm just not sure of any lodging around there (aside from what you can find doing an internet search for AirBnBs).

Sending you much comfort and huge hugs as you help your best fur-friend enjoy his last days.

Thank you. I was able to find a quiet, beautiful place.

I’m struggling with this more than I can put into words. Eight years ago, we lost our home (you know our sad story), and with it so much of the life we had worked for. We’ve only been back in Colorado for six months, and now we’re facing losing him here too.

Once he’s gone, it will feel like Colorado has taken everything from me. I’ve spent years feeling like a failure after losing the house, and I hate that we can never get those years back. I know this hasn’t been easy on him either.
