Where did the animal come from? Gennesee?

That's a pretty long walk for a bison. If you are talking about the accident where the truck driver was killed when he hit the bison, that happened east of Byers. Byers is about 40 miles east of Denver. The article said there were bison farms on both sides of the highway where the accident occurred.

The truck was filled with salt. It was a bison hijacking gone bad.

The driver was killed. I just don't think it was a funny joke.

Kansas truck driver dies after hitting bison, rolling rig near Byers, Colo.
By Joey Bunch
The Denver Post

Maynard Bontrager had driven the same route delivering table salt from Kansas to Colorado every week for 50 years, before the unlikely encounter with a bison on a highway just north of Byers early Tuesday.

Bontrager, 74, of South Hutchinson, Kan., died after he hit and killed an American bison, swerving off U.S. 36 and rolling his big rig about 3:30 a.m. He is survived by a wife, Fannie Mae Bontrager, and five children.

A truck driver since he was 19, Bontrager had never had an accident of any kind and was looking to log his 5 millionth mile next April, said his son, Lyle Bontrager.

"It was his life," he said. "He loved to drive. When we went on vacation, he always wanted to drive."

While I'm sorry for the family of the driver, I still think Wayne had a funny comment.
