Well, I bought a new refrigerator in April, during the Energy Rebate Colorado/Cash-for-Clunker-appliances sales, and it's the first one I've ever owned up here with an ice-maker/water-dispenser in it. There was a water outlet in the wall but it's the old brass fittings, and 3/8" size... The new fridge has the plastic hose and a 1/2" size fitting. So, no ice/no water.
I went down to Aspen Park Hardware and explained my situation. They took three different off-the-shelf adapters/fittings, cut me a 3' length of plastic tubing, and a 3" piece of copper-tubing, and cobbled together some kind of Rube Goldberg adapter... Got home, put it in place, tightened everything down...and Eureka!! I gots cold water and ice!!
Thanks guys for coming up with the perfect solution...again.
I don't think I've ever gone in there that they didn't find a way to get me what I needed. I just wanted to say Thanks publicly.
