Indian Hills Firefighter Dan Adams passed away peacefully on September 27th after a courageous and dignified battle with Melanoma. Our community has lost a wonderful firefighter, father, husband and son.
After 9/11 Dan felt the need to contribute to his community. He graduated from the Firefighter’s Academy and became a volunteer firefighter and first responder with the Indian Hills Fire Department. Dan always went the extra mile to help people in need. Even during his illness, he never complained or felt sorry for himself, but remained concerned about the welfare of others. He was a devoted family man with the most precious part of Dan’s life was being a husband and father. He loved to put his boat in at Chatfield Reservoir and spend the day with family and friends. Dan is admired for his strength, compassion, selflessness and courage.
Dan leaves behind his wife Randia, sons Cameron 13, Dillon 10, and daughters Tylar 7 and Jaylee 5. At Dan's request, there will not be a funeral. It was his wish to donate his body to help in research of Melanoma. A Memorial Service has been scheduled for this Wednesday Oct. 6, 7:00 PM at the Mountain Song Foursquare Church across from the Indian Hill's fire station (4471 Parmalee Gulch Road, Indian Hills, CO).
Donations can still be made to the Dan Adams Fund c/o Indian Hills Fire Department, P.O.
