I like my home made food, yes and i agree, I know its cleaner, I know what's in it (especially when it comes from my own garden), my box of veggies from door to door organics costs me $22 a week, in the summer I supplement from the garden/greenhouse and shop at the organic wholefoods store once a month for things I can't grow up here; very inexpensive, healthy and fun. Can't even remember when was the last time I went to a restaurant and I don't miss it.
Depends on whether I burn it and have to make a 2nd dinner!
Heartless - I hope you're at least one of those individuals in your list, if not more! EM's our cook, except when out of town, I'm the dishwasher, and I'm still working on the waitstaff/child labor - it's very inconsistent and stubborn...
I'm with jf1acai - find someone else to buy! And go somewhere good!!!
edit to add:
I love eating out and love the large portions - they make 1 or more leftover meals which means I don't have to fix lunch the next day then! After factoring in extra meals out of one dinner, it washes out cost-wise. It learned a great lesson when I developed gestational diabetes with my daughter and was checking my blood sugar levels after every meal - I could exactly determine if any particular type of food was especially bad and avoid it. Amazing what seeing those concrete numbers will force you to face...
"Now, more than ever, the illusions of division threaten our very existence. We all know the truth: more connects us than separates us. But in times of crisis the wise build bridges, while the foolish build barriers. We must find a way to look after one another as if we were one single tribe.” -King T'Challa, Black Panther
The truth is incontrovertible. Malice may attack it. ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is. ~Winston Churchill
