If you have driven down hwy 73, and you look at the new carvings that the artist has done, one really sticks out. It is a BATTLE CROSS, used to honor those fallen in battle or conflict. It has an American Flag draped around it and and Eagle on top with wings spread. To a member of the Armed Forces we know what it means. We know what it stands for.
On November 11, 2010 that Battle Cross will be placed at the Mtn Resource Center. The Artist that did the work has donated it to the Conifer VFW. We will dedicated it on Veterans Day at 12 noon. All are welcome to attend.
