I liked The Others too.

Funny/Scary? Drag Me To Hell, and timely, the heroine is an "evil" mortgage banker who pisses off a gypsy woman by foreclosing on her home.

lol Some great sense of humors. It's actually funny that I'm on a scary movie binge; it usually happens around Easter, Christmas, or some other ironic holiday. This time it's actually Halloween time.

I now have more to watch. What about "The Thing?"

I actually liked the remake of The Thing with Kurt Russell more than the original (1951 starring James Arness), which is rare.

Another one of my favorites is Ghost Story (1981). It includes some very talented actors from a generation or two ago and the story is well told.

I agree about The Others (Nicole Kidman). It was very good.

Another one that surprised me was Dead Calm, 1989 (also Nicole Kidman, and with Billy Zane).

Aliens (the sequel) was the best of the series in my opinion and pretty good.

If you like the older horror movies it is hard to beat Night of the Living Dead, 1968.
