Storm chasers get within 50 yards of a tornado Monday around Hwy 287 in Springfield, Colorado. No injuries were reported and there was no severe damage.
Fascinating nature display. DId you note the way the column spun upwards? Distance makes it look like the upper part of the tornado spun more slowly than the basal section. Am I seeing things or does anyone else have that impression? I wonder how this compares to a whirlpool in terms of fluid mechanics??
