A telephone ID-theft scam has resurfaced in Jefferson County, according to the district attorney's office.
In the last few days, several people have reported that they have received disturbing automated phone calls that claim to be from their bank or credit union.

We *may* have gotten (at least) one of these calls - something about calling regarding 'your account' .. nothing to identify what bank/financial institution, did not ask for us by name so I just ignored it
Never call back any unverified number from one of those calls. We got a legit one from Bank of the worst, and I said don't call, look up the number on their web site or use the phone book. It was legit, but some may not be.
