Thinking outside the box coming from studying and learning more about basic physical properties of water - I like it! It sounds like there's a long way to go to develop collectors, and determining how efficient they would be, but anything to add to the repertoire of renewable energy production, especially in areas where solar or wind isn't as feasible, is all good.
