Careful, it's 55, not 65 up to the bridge, and they're still working in the canyon on occasion and posting the 40 MPH speed limits on a day-to-day basis.
It's also not back up to 55 (going westbound) out of the canyon until you're almost to the RTD Park 'n Ride, where there are 55 MPH signs on both sides of the highway. I've seen deputies parked on the curve just past Parmalee Gulch waiting for people who speed up too early after leaving the canyon.
Another reason to use my cruise control (once I forgot I still had it on and did 45 all the way to the straightaway below Doubleheader Mountain).
