:crossed: Having seen some of the chaos that ensued during the Hayman fire with rampant rumors etc, those of us who have been posting scanner information since then have become a bit sensitive to the topic. We would like to see the information posted on the 'Scanner and Emergency Information' forums limited to information heard on the scanner or from other official sources (such as NWS, USFS, etc).
Based on that, can we request that if you have a comment related to something we post, you can feel free to reference the post or even quote it but post your comments in the Campfire so that it's clear that it's not "official" information? :crossed:
I wondered about that when we set up the forum. I can set it up to where only scanners can post there and then any discussion can go into the campfire. You guys just need to let us know who can post. You let us know what you need and we will help in anyway we can.
I think we can just work from a request for now if that is OK.
Everyone here has been so wonderful and I think we can continue the way we are. We welcome folks to feel free to ask question and we also welcome additional help at any time.
Right now....we are monitoring 2 small fires in the Hi Meadow Burn area.
Both appear to be lightening strikes and crews are on scene at one of the fires and we are still waiting for an exact location on the 2nd.
