I watched a documentary the other day about these women who free dive with mermaid tails on. They can hold their breath for more than 5 minutes.

When I was a teenager Id hyper ventalate by the pool ladder- I'd breath until I got dizzy then I'd go down to the bottom of the ladder, wrap my arms around it and try to slow everything down..Almost go into a trance..I could stay down there for minutes..It amazed everyone.
