DENVER (AP) — The Colorado Division of Wildlife is investigating the killing of two bull elk in Park County.

The division and Operation Game Thief are offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to whoever poached the four-point elk.

Hunters found them Dec. 30, about five miles west of Tarryall Reservoir.

Wildlife officials say anyone with a tip can call (877) 265-6648 and report information anonymously.

if you live over by the national forest near burland keep your eyes peeled for poaching and trophy hunting.

ok going off topic, please don't feed the deer which happens all the time in burland. they have plenty of bushes and pine needles, ever notice that the lower limbs have been eaten? deer attract the mountain lions and there have been plenty. the owner of the home where i am staying has sooo many pix of them. when the deer stay near the homes cuz they are fed it will bring the lions and then people will be crying about injury.

Deer like my bushes, which I'm not going to cut down. But the barking of the numerous dogs tends to speed them on their way sometimes - only seen evidence of one mountain lion so far since we moved here.
